Born in 2009, Japanese composer and pianist.
Endo began studying composition theory, classical piano, and jazz piano from an early age, and is active both as a composer and pianist now.
As a composer, Endo specializes in cinematic music and emotionally expressive melodies suited for visual works, while also composing in a wide range of styles including classical and pop. Endo is also involved in arrangement and lyric writing in Japanese, Korean, and English.
Endo has won numerous awards, including:
• 1st Prize, Jury President’s Prize, and Concerto Prize at the 18th Cecilia International Piano Competition
• 1st Prize at the 46th All Japan Junior Classical Music Competition
• Gold Prize and Grand Prix at both the 9th and 15th European International Piano Competition in Japan
• Gold Prize at the Euterpe Music Awards
• 1st Prize and Debussy Prize at the 2nd Debussy International Piano Competition
• 1st Prize at the 5th Japan Sogaku Competition
• 1st Prize and Semi-Grand Prix at the 10th Tokyo Piano Competition
• Gold and Best Performance Awards at the 1st Chopin Land Competition
Endo has performed in concerts both in Japan and abroad, including in Warsaw (Poland), the Colonna Palace (Italy), the UNESCO World Heritage Teatro Olimpico(Italy), the Embassy of Poland in Japan, and at events such as the 3.11 Great East Japan Earthquake Charity Concert and the Kawaguchiko Hall Christmas Concert. Endo has also appeared as a concerto soloist with orchestras.
Endo studies piano under Michal Sobkowiak and composition under Kazuo Mise. Endo has also participated in masterclasses with distinguished pianists including Andrzej Jasiński, Piotr Paleczny, Wojciech Świtała, Krzysztof Jabłoński, Bronisława Kawalla, and Pascal Rogé.
